What Others Have Said About Our Work

Testimonials

The training was provided in a constructive and effective manner, with a real focus on how, as well as what, things could be done. All staff came away with useful and practical action points to further develop their leadership skills and confidence.
Julia Waters, Executive Headteacher, Sacred Heart School, Wimbledon and Headteacher, Ursuline High School, Wimbledon.

I have been to too many training sessions where the ideas are good but not practical in the real world. Although rooted in theory, this leadership training was very pragmatic. My middle and senior leaders are now in a better position to carry out their leadership roles effectively as a result of this input.
Ian McNeilly, Chief Executive, The de Ferrers Trust

The training session was extremely useful; it was well delivered and Richard really knew his stuff! In particular he was able to engage all the staff present, no matter their level of experience. Everyone felt they had grown in confidence and capacity as a result of the session and found it reassuring that the trainer had first-hand experience of dealing with the issues raised. Richard is a most professional and personable speaker and we look forward to working with him again in the future.
Andrew Atkinson, Senior School Assistant Headteacher, Tanglin Trust School, Singapore.

Richard came into our school to work with new and experienced leaders. He challenged all of us to consider our work and to reflect on our practice based on our individual experiences and within the context of our school and culture. Richard is well read and has his finger on the pulse of current leadership practice and theory. He is able to weave concepts and values together. Richard spent time getting to know the context of our school before he arrived and was nimble to our needs during our workshop. He left us with many ideas and theories to consider and has helped us to push up our bar of leadership by providing us group skills as well as individual attention to our needs. He is a compelling presenter with excellent background in middle level and senior leadership experience in a variety of international schools.
Karen Lavender, Faculty Development Coordinator, American College of Sofia, Bulgaria

This has proved to be a valuable training opportunity in so many ways. The trainer was mindful of the varying needs of the group and was determined to ensure all had a positive and rewarding experience. The approach was collaborative and the training well structured so that everyone had the opportunity to participate. Contributions were valued and the trainer was very skilled in adopting the material according to needs arising. Everyone was encouraged to have 3 or 4 "takeaways". I certainly did and I know that one of my colleagues went straight from the training into a pre-scheduled "difficult conversation", which ensured a positive outcome. The trainer is entertaining and empathetic and I would recommend him as a good trainer who really cares and is committed to making a difference.
