The team

Richard Hester

Company Director and Course Leader

Richard has been a head in three schools in three different countries. He has school inspector experience in UK and overseas and was a Programme Leader for the Cambridge PDQ (Teaching and Learning Diploma). He has a masters' degree in Educational Leadership and Management and is currently also studying part-time for an EdD. He has worked with schools throughout Europe and in China, India, Dubai, Thailand, Singapore and Laos and has presented at education conferences in UK, Amsterdam, Colombo, Prague and Rome. He is passionate about school leadership and staff training, and creating a positive culture in schools.

David Rowsell

Coach and Course Leader

David has 25 years of school leadership experience (18 as head): in two schools in UK, followed by being the Principal of two international schools - in Prague and Washington DC. He is passionate about the transformational power of continual learning for young people, teachers and leaders alike. He works with a wide range of schools to promote coaching, continual professional learning and, most importantly, high performance pedagogy. He believes fervently that high performance learning can deliver crucial, theoretical knowledge, mastery, opportunity, choice, dignity and purpose for all learners, young and old!

Lin Whyte

Coach and Course Leader

Lin is a lifelong educator who was formerly a principal of three schools in Cambridge, UK and has worked as a lead facilitator, assessor and coach for the National College of Teaching and Learning and latterly, University College London (UCL) since 1997. Her role as a lead facilitator for Cambridge International Assessment Education (CIAE) and ECIS has taken Lin to many parts of the world delivering enrichment and leadership programmes.

Neil Richards

Course Leader

Neil is one of the most experienced international school headteachers in the world. Currently head at the British International School Phuket, former headships were at Machabeng High School, Lesotho; Yokohama International School, Japan; UWC Atlantic College, Wales, UK. He was awarded an MBE for services to British education in Japan in 2006.

Serena Alexander

Course Leader

Serena is a former headteacher of one of the UK's top Prep Schools and is an educational consultant whose clients include the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) and IAPS. She has written a series of mathematics books for Galore Park, which go beyond the requirements of the national curriculum.

Chandra Umesh Raja

Coach

Umesh is an extremely experienced headteacher and inspector and is passionate about school improvement. He believes that coaching can help individuals analyse and reflect on issues and discover new opportunities for action.
